Support For Your childbirth & lactation journey Starts Here
Lo Nigrosh is one of Central Massachusetts’ most passionate lactation consultants and child birth educators.
Meet The Team
LO NIGROSH, IBCLC, CBE, Doula (Owner)
Living in a log cabin on five acres in Athol with her husband, Max, their two children, a dog, and two cats, Lo has a deep heart for supporting local pregnant and nursing families. Her own intense struggles with breastfeeding first opened the door to her passion for birth and lactation work. But it has been listening—really listening—to the stories of so many others facing similar challenges that has kept her committed to this work as a lactation consultant, educator, and podcaster.
As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Lo’s approach is rooted in compassion, respect, and empowerment. She helps families recognize every ounce they make as an accomplishment, and every obstacle they face as part of a larger story that isn’t their fault. Her mission is to guide people through the emotional and practical complexities of feeding with both expertise and empathy.
This mission led her to launch her podcast and YouTube Channel Lo’s Lactation Lab where she amplifies the voices of families navigating baby-feeding struggles and triumphs. Through these conversations, she highlights how systemic and cultural barriers shape our experiences—and reminds listeners that their bodies did not fail them. Instead, their perseverance and successes are real, meaningful victories.
Lo brings both fierceness and tenderness to all of her work. Whether representing the U.S. as a disabled athlete in the 2004 Paralympic Games in Sitting Volleyball, advocating for equitable education during her decade as a bilingual teacher, or now supporting families through the vulnerable and powerful seasons of pregnancy, birth, and early parenting—her life’s work has always centered on resilience, advocacy, and honoring the stories of others.
Sara Seligman- Intern
Sara is completing her clinical training to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), working alongside Lo Nigrosh as she completes the 500 hours required for board certification.
With a background in education, pastoral care, and social justice, and as a parent to three children—including twins born prematurely—Sara brings both professional skill and personal experience to her work. Her own breastfeeding challenges inspired her passion for supporting families with compassion, encouragement, and evidence-based care.
Sara is excited to walk alongside parents as they navigate the joys and challenges of feeding and caring for their babies.
