Meet The Owner

LO NIGROSH

Living in a log cabin on 5 acres with her husband, Max, 2 children, 1 dog and 2 cats, Lo has a heart for Athol's pregnant and nursing parents. It was her own intense struggle to breastfeed her children that led to a passion in birth and lactation work in the first place. However, listening to the struggles of so many others in the same situation is what has motivated her to continue as a lactation supporter, educator and podcaster.

As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Lo focuses on helping each client feel proud of every ounce they make, and to recognize each hurdle they unfairly faced. She launched The Milk Making Minutes Podcast to empower and explore baby feeding struggles and triumphs. Through the lens of systemic and cultural failures, every listener will find space to better understand that their bodies did not fail and their successes really were the miracles they felt them to be.

Lo has brought a combination of fierceness and empathy to all of her lifelong endeavors. From competing in the 2004 Paralympic Games in Sitting Volleyball as a disabled athlete, to the 10 years she spent as a bilingual educator fighting for equitable educational experiences for her students, she has much to share and a deep desire to expand on the stories of others that have faced their own hardships throughout life and childbirth.
